Path of Exile challenges players by injecting unique twists into normal RPG elements. One of those twists is the lack of a money-based currency system. Players barter with each other by trading PoE orbs. While these orbs have a function as an item, they’re easy to collect and you’ll get many over the course of your journey through Wraeclast. They’re also used in transactions with NPCs and, as such, are the official currency of the game.

If you are playing on the Path Of Exile, then you must also have the trouble of planting PoE currency. However, farming POE currency isn’t that easy. Without a practical guide to help you, you’ll likely have a tough time getting POE currency. With our POE currency acquisition guide, you can cut corners and get more currency in the shortest amount of time.

In the Beginning

Start out by amassing your hoard. Don't use your orbs for anything just yet. Focus on finding your build and how you want to play first. Worry about your equipment and gems later, when you’ve finalized your build. You can spend your orbs then.

Crafting

Near the endgame, players start crafting their own equipment. If you want to get in on it, you’ll need the following:

Orbs of Transmutation

Orbs of Chance

Orbs of Alchemy

Chaos Orbs

Orbs of Alteration

Regal Orbs

Exalted Orbs

Eternal Orbs

Orbs of Scouring

Divine Orbs

Blessed Orbs

A stock of Chromatic Orbs would also be good if you want to change the colors of the item's gem sockets. At any rate, we're not going too deep into crafting, because it's a complicated affair that requires its own guide. If you search the steps, you'll realize you're going to need many of the above orbs. Start stockpiling early, so you don’t have to spend all of your reserves when you start crafting.

Divination Cards

Some Exalted Orbs can drop from certain Divination Cards, like Abandoned Wealth Wealth, the Hoarder, which can drop in different maps, farming on those locations may ostensibly gain the orbs.

Even though it's not any more likely than it dropping naturally, but it's also possible to get and bring at least 5 x currency items.

The types of divination cards which could exchange Exalted Orbs and the amount are the following:

12 x The Hoarder give one Exalted Orb

10 x The Saint's Treasure equal two Exalted Orbs

5 x Abandoned Wealth give three Exalted Orbs

7 x Alluring Bounty give ten Exalted Orbs

5 x Emperor's Luck give drops random type of currency.

Trading

Trading through POE Currency Shop is very common in POE, and for some exiles who are good at computing, this is indeed an option to choose.

Check out which gem is the most expensive, and put three of them into the secondary weapon, level it up and sell to other players, which could make some benefits for you. Sometimes, you could get even 15 Exalted Orbs for only one leveled POE skill gem, in a word, level up the gem to increase its quality by using gemcutter prism currency to sell.

Maps

Farming maps and running them as efficiently as possible is hands down the easiest way to make currency in POE. The general idea is to increase Pack Size and Item Quantity on your maps to maximize loot drop potential. Here's a basic strategy for doing that:

White Maps — Tiers 1–5 — Upgrade to Magic using Transmutations and Augmentations, avoiding any map modifiers that might kill you, like Reflect.

Yellow Maps — Tiers 6–10 — Upgrade to Rare using Alchemy and Chaos, avoiding any map modifiers that might kill you, like Reflect. For added Quantity and Pack Size, Vaal them, hoping for 8 modifiers.

Red Maps — Tiers 11–16 — Map Master encounters are also great sources of extra mechanics for loot. Alva and the Incursion mechanics are a strong contender next to Nico and Delving for best currency farming.

Other Methods of Getting Currency

There are a few methods to get orbs and other PoE currency consistently. They're good for restocking after a session of crafting or getting enough orbs to buy that equipment you want.

One is Delving. Get enough azurite to cap darkness resist and light radius for the low-level areas. Don't use up all your azurite though, as you're going to buy flares and dynamite too. When delving, try to find Fractured Walls in the darkness. That’s where you’ll find fossils, which can sell for up to 200 Chaos Orbs. However, that kind of price is only for the very special ones, and you’re more likely to find many that would sell for far less.

Another method is to craft items for selling. Ask or look around for the more popular mods on equipment and make those. Otherwise, you can sell the service of crafting custom items or other services. You can look around certain public channels to find out which services are profitable or doable for you.

That's all you need to know about farming orbs in Path of Exile! If you're a seasoned veteran, we hope you also learned a thing or two more about the different ways to get PoE currency and most importantly—PoE orbs. With that, you’ll now be able to score some high-quality gear! But most of the time, not everyone has enough time to reach the goal. So, you can Exalted Orb Buy to replenish your inventory. Here, I recommend the best PoE currency site — https://www.igvault.com/POE-Currency . It's cheap, safe and fast, very good! Enjoy the Game.
